It is exciting to see more and more churches begin to reach out to children impacted by physical, intellectual, and sensory disabilities. Children’s ministry leaders have begun to intentionally vary modalities and teach to different learners within their classes and programs. Making allowances for preferred learning styles, taking into account each child’s strength and weakness, and realizing the need for sensory rich programs benefits all children, not just the child with special needs.
